Grateful For Our Islands In The SUN

Dear Readers,

"If you concentrate on finding whatever is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul." ~ Harold Kushner

As our American neighbors celebrate Thanksgiving, it seems appropriate to write about what we are grateful for today.

We are very blessed to live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.  700 islands that have some of the most beautiful oceans, beaches, and majestic views ever seen.  Recently we were sent a wonderful new video showing off all our islands have to offer and asking people to come and visit our shores.

Just watching this video reminds us how very grateful we should be for the bounty we have been given with our islands in the sun.  All over the world, there are countries struggling for democracy, for an end to war, for the right to speak, dance, and work without  persecution and for the right to fish and swim in clean, tranquil waters such as ours.

Though many would argue our country is not perfect,  we encourage you today to concentrate on finding the beauty on your island.  Walk the beach, drive by the sea, fish off a dock, sit out in your backyard, garden, feel the sun on your face...and take a moment to be nurtured by it all, and to be grateful that you live in such a wonderful country.

Happy Thanksgiving Bahamas!
