MOVIE TIME Sunday, March 19, early afternoon
Open to all, and we'd love to have you join us! We pick the movie, plus the time and location, closer to each date. We typically attend the Harkins Shea, Harkins 101, or Harkins North Valley; and sometimes we discuss the movie afterwards over yogurt, coffee or lunch.
You are always welcome to come even without an RSVP, but if we expect you we can let you know if there are any changes and try to save seats. To receive final details for our movie plans, and to offer your suggestions, get on our Movie email list by sending your name and email to Marilyn Morris at [email protected] (or call her at 602-494-2800).

Purim and Social Action Project
for the Congregation and YEP! Families
Kehillah Care Kits
Congregation Kehillah assembled Kehillah Care Kits for our congregants to carry in their cars and hand out as they see fit to those in need. Thanks to several of our YEP! families and congregants, we assembled 160 kits on Purim morning. These bags contain a pair of socks (one of the most requested items), a mini-bottle of water and a Nutri-Grain bar. Since we would like this to be an ongoing Social Action/Mitzvah project, we will be asking congregants for a donation of $2/bag. Kehillah Care Kits will be available for congregants to take with them (using the honor system) on Friday nights prior to Kabbalat Shabbat and during YEP! sessions. To make a donation and support this important project, please visit our donation page. Then, under "FUND," choose "Social Action." In the message section, type in "Kehillah Care Kits." For questions or to help with this project in the future, please email Renee, [email protected].

Robin and Scott Rudin, on their anniversary (March 19)
Dani Fox,who was awarded the Spirit of DI award (shown below) from the
Heart of Texas Destination Imagination tournament in Austin, Texas in February.
(The hands-on Destination Imagination program fosters students' creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic Challenges in the fields of STEM - science, technology, engineering and mathematics - fine arts, and community service. Participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and collaborative problem-solving. Teams may showcase their solutions at a tournament.)
Along with her husband, Rich, who volunteered in an Engineering Challenge by inspecting structures built by the teams to make sure they were in compliance, Dani volunteered in a Scientific Challenge, handling paperwork and scoring accuracy.
Dani explains, "When I was in middle school and high school, I lived in Texas and competed in a similar program. It had a tremendous impact on me academically as well as socially and I attribute many good things to the time I spent with my team." Congratulations, Dani!
