For the next few weeks, we'll introduce you to some of Kehillah's new and long-time board members.
Here's a message from Paul Stein, Kehillah Board Member At Large
I was raised in Brooklyn, and later settled in Michigan for almost 40 years, where Margie and I raised our two children.
My first experience with Kehillah was when we attended a Shabbat service after receiving a postcard mailer for prospective new members. We felt at home that very first evening. We sat in front of Roger, who was sitting with their daughters and their wonderful voices, not knowing who they were. Kehillah has touched my heart. It has been a long time since I've felt that connection.
Our congregation is growing. This is a powerful and special time for all of us to embrace this growth and the core values that Kehillah represents.
I want to actively be a part of Kehillah and its future while providing support wherever I can.

Pajama Drive!
This holiday season, Congregation Kehillah will hold Pajama Drive to benefit the children served by the Arizona Chapter of the Pajama Program.
The primary mission of the Pajama Program is to provide new pajamas and new books to children in need (newborn to age 18). For many of these kids, who are often in the foster care system or other transitional living environments, these items are sometimes the only new things that they receive, and represent care and comfort.
Donations made to the Arizona Chapter are distributed to approximately 30 receiving organizations (group homes, shelters, etc.) throughout Arizona. Any donations of new fall/winter pajamas and/or new children's books would be greatly appreciated.
Bring your new kids' pajama donations & books to Kehillah's Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday, November 18th and Friday, December 9th.
YEP! students can bring their donations to YEP! sessions on Sunday, November 20th and Sunday, December 4th.
For more information about the Pajama Program, visit www.pajamaprogram.org or contact Kehillah member Lesli Friedman at 602-577-8355.

Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America (JWV)
The JWV is looking for new members to keep its 120-year old legacy alive. Founded in 1896, JWV is one of the oldest veterans' organizations in America. The JWV is dedicated to upholding America's democratic tradition and fighting bigotry, prejudice, injustice and discrimination of all kinds. As a national organization, the JWV represents the voice of America's Jewish Veterans on issues related to Veterans' benefits, foreign policy and national security. JWV also commits itself to the assistance of oppressed Jews worldwide.
As you may know all Veterans organizations are in need of new members. Many of you served proudly in the military and the camaraderie made it a good experience. It doesn't matter in which service you served, just that you have a desire to join a great organization that provides help and comfort to service members in need.
Arizona has five JWV posts, two that meet at the Veterans Home in Phoenix, one in Chandler and one in Tucson. For more information please contact the Post Commander:
