Update on Our New Home

We are excited to give you this latest update: We are completely moved out of the space we shared with Via de Cristo and are awaiting the certificate of occupancy and completion of renovation for our new home. The new location for Congregation Kehillah is 5858 E. Dynamite Blvd., Cave Creek, AZ 85331.

In the meantime, our December 9 Kabbalat Shabbat will be held at Pardes Jewish Day School, which is located at the back of the Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus, 12701 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
Driving and parking directions: When you enter the VOSJCC campus from Scottsdale Rd., continue driving straight towards the back of the campus. Look for the painted mural on the building that houses their sanctuary. There is plenty of open parking. Please leave the parking spots closest to the building for those requiring a shorter walk. We will have greeters to show you where to go once you come through the gates. The sanctuary is located to the left side of the building with the mural on it.

Our December 4 YEP! program and our December 18 YEP! Family Chanukah program will both be held at Jewish Community Center, in our regular Bureau of Jewish Education classrooms. Both December sessions will be from 9:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

MOVIE TIME
Will resume in January

Open to all, and we'd love to have you join us! We pick the movie, plus the time and location, closer to each date. We usually attend the Harkins Shea or Harkins 101, and sometimes discuss the movie afterwards over yogurt, coffee or lunch.

You are always welcome to come even without an RSVP, but if we expect you we can let you know if there are any changes and try to save seats. To receive final details for our movie plans, and to offer your suggestions, get on our Movie email list by sending your name and email to Marilyn Morris at [email protected] (or call her at 602-494-2800).

"Traveling through Israel with Rabbi [and] our group...was a marvelous, once-in-a-lifetime journey. The trip bound me to the land and people and refined G-d's significance in my life. I wish it were Day One so I could experience it
all again."

SOCIAL ACTION
Pajama Drive!

This holiday season, Congregation Kehillah will hold Pajama Drive to benefit the children served by the Arizona Chapter of the Pajama Program.

The primary mission of the Pajama Program is to provide new pajamas and new books to children in need (newborn to age 18). For many of these kids, who are often in the foster care system or other transitional living environments, these items are sometimes the only new things that they receive, and represent care and comfort.

Donations made to the Arizona Chapter are distributed to approximately 30 receiving organizations (group homes, shelters, etc.) throughout Arizona. Any donations of new fall/winter pajamas and/or new children's books would be greatly appreciated.

Bring your new kids' pajama donations & books to Kehillah's Kabbalat Shabbat services on Friday, December 9. (Services will be held at Pardes Jewish Day School, located on the VOSJCC campus.)

YEP! students can bring their donations to YEP! on Sunday, December 4.

For more information about the Pajama Program, visit www.pajamaprogram.org or contact Kehillah member Lesli Friedman at 602-577-8355.
