The Settlements, Part I & II
Tuesday, February 28 & March 7, 7:30 pm
Join us for a two part series in which we will explore the complex questions  surrounding Israeli settlements.  On  February 28 Ron Jager will join us.  Ron lives in Shaare Tiqva, a settlement in the West Bank and serves as an advocate for the communities in Judea and Samaria (the biblical names for the West Bank).
On  March 7  we will be joined by Yoni Komorov Yoni serves at the  S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace, an organization that advocates for a two state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which would necessitate withdrawing from portions of the West Bank.  Our speakers' detailed biographies can be found below.  To learn more about the issue surrounding Israeli settlements you may want to read the following recent articles:   "President Trump, Will You Save the Jews?" by Thomas L. Friedman ,    "A Settler's View of Israel's Future" by Yishai Fleischer and  "Israel's Options in a Chaotic Middle East" by Yossi Klein Halevi.

Elaine Freed Lindenblatt was born into restaurant royalty as the youngest child of the establishment’s founder. For her, the Red Apple was the “family room” across the road—one she shared with over a million customers every year. In this book, fifty-plus years unfold in a series of lively vignettes. It is at once an account of growing up in 1950s  small-town America, a glimpse into the workings of a
successful food   operation, and a swan song to a glorious slice of
bygone popular culture.
