October 17 Training Event
Is your congregation seeking to find ways to become more welcoming to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) persons and their families?  If so the West Ohio Reconciling Ministries Team and the Reconciling Ministries Network are partnering to offer an event tailored just for you and your congregation.
   On October 17, a training event "The Church and the LGBT Christian" will be offered at the Hartzell United Methodist Church, 8999 Applewood Drive, Blue Ash, OH.  The training will offer two tracks:
Track One: For individuals or teams from local congregations who want to help their church move towards becoming more welcoming to LGBT persons.
Track Two: For teams from congregations who want to learn more about the path to becoming a fully LGBT inclusive and reconciling congregation.

"When Kids Come Out"  
A Four-­Session Class for  Parents of LGBT Children
When a child comes out to his/her/their family, it often raises many questions for both the child and for the family.  These questions will be addressed in the four-­session class that will be held on Wednesday evenings from October 21 through November 11 at the Livingston United Methodist Church led by Rev. Jim Waugh. The meetings will begin at 7:00 pm and conclude by 8:30 pm. The church is located at 200 E Livingston Avenue, Columbus. Parking is available at the church.
