2013: An Amazing Year for Children's Literacy

Thank you for helping make 2013 a wonderful year for advancing our children's literacy programs. Please join us by supporting our exciting new initiatives for 2014. Be inspired by what your generous donations contributed to this past year:

  • Award Winner: CHPS was honored with a prestigious 2013 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.
  • New Books: Water Water Everywhere, the story of the 1913 Dayton Flood, and Money Talks, a story about the history and role of money in the U.S.
  • Major Grant: CHPS received a major grant from the Ohio State Bar Foundation to publish a second edition of Haki and The Rule of Law, which will be distributed to 40,000 students statewide.
Our learning-activity books and Teacher Guides fulfill the state board's accelerated efforts in social studies and align with the Common Core Curriculum. With the contributions of individual donors, we have published more than 20 books and donated 400,000 to children.

Donate $20, $50, $100 or whatever your budget allows to help us continue to nurture children's love for reading in 2014. Each donation will go directly to the reprinting and distribution of 7,000 books and Teacher Guides for local third and fourth grade students, ultimately serving dozens of schools, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students.
