September 2016 - New Executive Director, Golf Tournament, Hope Builder Breakfast, Home Dedication and Pass the Hammer Ceremony.
Month 2016
From the Director
On June 1st of this year, my first day working as the Executive Director for HFHBC, I felt like I arrived at home. While the first 4 months have been quite a whirlwind, I am excited to be living the journey that I always imagined myself living - helping others through ministry and mission.

July 1st starts our new year and we are working together to make things bigger and better. We continue to work in the Wall Street Community and feel that the progress made is making everyone proud of their efforts. Simple changes such as continuing exterior repairs and wheelchair ramps has given us an opportunity to serve more families in Berkeley County. We also look forward to beginning a 3rd home at the beginning of 2017 on President Circle.

The need is great in our community and we will continue to assist by way of new home ownership, Neighborhood Revitalization and exterior repairs and other positive community outreach.  As we closed our new home-ownership application process, we now have 9 families awaiting new homes.  We are blessed to be a part of an organization that allows others the gift of home ownership and it is rewarding to watch them move forward.  We know our pipeline is full of more families and individuals that wish to apply and that door will open again soon.

Our ministry is a blessing and fulfilling to all involved.  Our task list is long and it takes your prayers, your service and your resources to bring it all to fruition.  We simply could not exist in this mission without the individual and corporate support that you all have given.  TOGETHER , we will change lives, TOGETHER , we will bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.

I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you.  Please prayerfully consider walking alongside us this year in whatever capacity God has called you to do.

In Partnership,
George Druyos
