Committee Updates

GUESS WHAT   WE'RE UP TO!

It's 2018 and LI@ B-CC students are already taking things up a notch! Students have come up with their four events, and now it is grind time. The Broadcast group has finished filming their commercial and is waiting for it to be shown on Wake UP B-CC. How exciting! Town Hall Meeting group is finding speakers and getting ready for their Town Hall Meeting which will feature immigrant speakers going to different social studies classrooms. Anti-Bullying Refugee group is reaching out to middle schools to host their anti-bullying campaign. 5-K run team is trying to pick between Wheaton Regional, Cabin John and Great Falls park to host their 5-K Run. Lastly, the documentary group is getting ready to film immigrant speakers that they reached out to, to tell their stories.

But wait there's more.....

LI@B-CC students are in the process to make an even greater impact and progress in 2018. Students are committing to more peer mentoring; igniting more change in communities; more personal growth and development. It's going to be an awesome ride and we want to bring you along. Stay tuned to Newsletters and up to the minute social media posts. You won't want to miss it!
