Mid Century Antiques are all the rage these days and many of our AntiqueTrail.com members specialize in the unique styles of the 1950's.  Once your eyes are opened to the interesting shapes, colors and textures of the mid century craftsmanship, you will notice that this look is everywhere!

The mid century designers created such   interesting designs with splashes of color in bold fabrics and leather.  The   wooden furniture with sleek lines and the creative patterns in the rattan and metal     works appeal to many antique enthusiasts today. The furniture of this period pairs well with contemporary homes and is also very popular in seaside communities.  This is probably why we have an abundance of AntiqueTrail.com members in Florida that specialize in  mid century antiques.  Take a minute to look at our members in Holly Hill, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale and their beautiful mid century treasures!

Perhaps you have a lamp or chair from your mother or grandmother that you think may be from the 40's or 50's?  Milo Baughman created furniture for the Thayer Coggins company.  One of his most popular pieces was a dining chair with legs and arms made from chrome.  T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings designed homes for Elizabeth Arden and Doris Duke but today his most sought after pieces are designs for Widdicomb Furniture from around  1946.  He was inspired by ancient Greek designs.  Karl Springers' decorative objects are an antique collector's pride and joy with lamps and side tables embellished with inlaid wood veneer, leather, and snake skin.

AntiqueTrail.com is so lucky to have Joy to help with our brochure/maps!  Joy is responsible for our brochure requests and distribution.  She is a retired human resource specialist and real estate broker and she is the mother of our AntiqueTrail.com software and business partner, Bruce Pate!

It is quick and easy to reorder your brochure/maps!  Go to AntiqueTrail.com and click on the Brochures button.  If you scroll down past the brochures you will see the brochure deadlines on the left and on the right are two blue buttons to click.  If you choose the non-member button, you will find the place to fill in your contact details.  For members, you will find the option to log in to  AntiqueTrail.com.  When a member logs into their account, the screen that comes up has the Order Brochure link there. You should click on it and the window that pops up has a default value of one box of their respective state selected. If that is all you want, you just scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit the submit button. A response will be shown at the top showing what you ordered. You can just logout at this point. If you want to order some brochures from other states also, before you hit the submit button, you can choose from the other states that are provided in the list below the default selection. The options for each state are different based on state but basically you can choose to order a box, or a partial box or 1,2,or 3 brochures from as many states as you like. Once all the states have been selected, then you hit the submit button. What you order will be displayed at the top of the page and it gives you the option to cancel if it is not correct. For more information just contact Joy at Brochures@AntiqueTrail.com or call at 502-963-3686!
