2018 BC Club Championships   Club

Field Hockey BC would like to extend a big thank you to all of our hosts, players, coaches, umpires and volunteers for making the 2018 BC Field Hockey Club Championships a success! 

As a result of your continued support, we were able to hold Club Championships at the U13, U15 and U18 Boys and Girls levels. We would like to thank our host for the U13 Boys and Girls, Richmond FHC; our hosts at the U15 level, Vancouver Hawks FHC and Chilliwack FHC; and West Vancouver FHC, the U18 Girls hosts.

Team BC - Meet the Athletes  T2T

Field Hockey BC is very excited to introduce the 12 teams that will be representing British Columbia at the 2018 National Championship Festival from July 12-22 in Toronto, Ontario. 

BC will be sending five teams at the U15 level, five teams at the U18 level and two teams at the U23 level. For more information on the National Championships, visit the Field Hockey Canada website.

The Field Hockey BC Foundation is now accepting applications for the Judy Broom High Performance Bursary! 

This bursary awards up to $1000 to female athletes who have participated in the FHBC Regional Program and have been selected to a Provincial Team. This award is designed to encourage female athletes to continue their development as a part of the Field Hockey BC Program.

Applications for the Judy Broom Bursary must be sent in by July 8, 2018. Click here for more information and to download an application form. 

2018 Westerly Field Hockey Tournament   Westerly

The Vancouver Island Ladies Field Hockey Association will be hosting the Westerly Field Hockey Tournament on September 8-9, 2018.

The Westerly will be taking place at John Ferreira Field in Duncan, BC. Team entry fees are $300 and must be paid by August 1st. Athletes must be 19 years of age to participate.

2019 Golden Oldies Festival   GOFestival

The Golden Oldies Festival is coming to Vancouver! This exciting International Bi-Annual Event will be coming to our home province from September 15-22, 2019. 

This tournament is open to all men and women over the age of 35, regardless of athletic ability. To learn more about this event and more registration information, visit the Golden Oldies website.

Hockey Series Open: Women's National Team    WNT

The Canadian Women's National Team had a dominating performance at the Hockey Series Open, finishing with a 4-0 record. 

This tournament in Salamanca, Mexico was an Olympic Qualifying event, meaning the Women's National Team is closer to securing a spot at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. During this tournament, North Vancouver native Karli Johansen celebrated her 100th cap with the Senior National Team. 

The team is now on a seven week training tour in Europe, where they will compete against many of the top European nations.  To read more about the Hockey Series Open and the progress of the Women's National Team, visit the Field Hockey Canada website .

International Summer Series: Men's National Team  MNTeam

The Canadian Men's National Team is currently hosting a three week International Summer Series against Pakistan and China. 

From June 21-July 8, the Canadian Men will face these two teams five times each, with games split between Rutledge Field in West Vancouver and Tamanawis Park in Surrey.

Chile Test Series: Junior Women's National Team    JWNT

The Canadian Junior Women's National Team is excited to be hosting the U21 Chilean National Team for a six games test series in Victoria from June 29-July 6. This series will be followed by a 6-nations tournament in Belgium from July 9-22. 

This roster is loaded with young BC talent, including four athletes who will be going on to represent Team BC at the National Championship Festival following the test series against Chile. For more information on the Junior Women's National Team schedule, visit the Field Hockey Canada website
