Lunchtime Theater in Surprise

The City of Surprise in collaboration with the West Valley Arts Council, Theater Works, Phoenix Opera and the West Valley Symphony announced the Lunchtime Theater 2017-18 season. Featuring 6 lunchtime performances to be held in the beautiful 2,500 square foot Arts HQ gallery.

Unforgettable: January 18, 2018

Jam Session with Maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg and Friends: February 8, 2018

A Chorus Line: February 22, 2018

Location: Arts HQ Gallery, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza, Surprise, AZ.
Time: Performances begin at noon and are 45 – 50 minutes.
Cost: $10.00

Reservations are required. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch or they can pre-order one from the City Café at Surprise City Hall. To place a lunch order, please contact the City Café at 623-222-8900.

Lunch orders from the City Café at Surprise will be delivered to the Arts HQ before the performance.

HQ After Dark

Enjoy an evening of live music with the Lee Perreira Band at the beautiful Arts HQ Gallery. Singer-Songwriter-Guitarist Lee Perreira combines classic blues riffs with a soulfully textured vocal style leaving his audience instantly captured.

Internship Opportunity

The West Valley Arts Council is seeking a Marketing Communications Intern.

Duties include:
• Maintaining website content to West Valley Arts Council specifications and design standards.
• Handling electronic and print media activities, press releases, and advertising.
• Managing social media accounts Instagram and Facebook by creating posts relevant to WVAC events and members
• Develop creative hashtags for the public to post under during events to further promote WVAC.

Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of graphic design.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and computer abilities.
