Let's talk Politics!

Did you know:

  • One greyhound dies every three days at dog tracks in Florida.
  • Puppy mills supply thousands of pups to pet stores every week.
  • Nassau County has never enforced it's twelve-hour dog tethering limit.

What can you do to help? Register with the League of Humane Voters -Florida (LOHV-FL). LOHV-FL is the only political action committee dedicated to passing laws that improve animal welfare. It takes sixty seconds to register and it costs nothing. Our strength is in our numbers so register now by clicking the button below. Don't feel powerless, feel empowered!
Thanks to everyone who attended the tenth annual Animal Expo at the Atlantic Avenue Rec center. Your donations will be used to improve the lives of animals in Nassau County.
SOME OF OUR RESCUE DOGS:
BEFORE FAN - - - AFTER FAN
We need Fosters!

No - not the beer, silly goose! We need caring people to take special needs dogs while they recover from illness or injury until we can place them in a furever home. The foster period could be a few days to a few months. If you love dogs, but you can't make a long term commitment to own a pet, fostering may be the answer.
WE NEED YOU!

How can you help? We need volunteers to help with marketing, social media, photography, planning fund raising events, dog walking and fostering homeless pets. If you love animals, have some skills and can devote a little of your time, contact us.
Friends of Animals Nassau (FAN) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Nassau County Florida. FAN focuses on finding homes for pets and assists in their medical care, including heartworm treatment. FAN is not an animal shelter, instead we keep pets in loving foster homes with caring people while they undergo treatment until we find them a furever home. We are able to help animals t hrough the work of our tireless volunteers, our fundraising events, our generous sponsors and your contributions. All donations are tax deductible.
