Riding to Make a Difference

Dear Friends,

Here we go! Bike is packed and ready to embark on our next 200 mile mission to help fund AIDS Vaccine Research at the Emory Vaccine Center in Atlanta!

This weekend, I'll ride my bike 200 miles across Georgia because I believe that I can help researchers at Emory create a vaccine that could very likely end the AIDS pandemic that has plagued this Earth since the early 1980's. A quick scan of the headlines will tell you that HIV infection rates continue to rise while relief funding is literally being shut off. The latest figures show that over 33 million people are living with HIV/AIDS worldwide. A vaccine continues to be the best hope to end this pandemic.

Some of the most promising AIDS vaccine technology in the WORLD is being developed at Emory University in Atlanta. 100% of the donations raised by the cyclists and volunteers go to the beneficiaries because corporate sponsorships underwrite the entire cost of this cycling event!!

If you have already contributed, thank you! If you can't this year because of other commitments, just send good thoughts and prayers out to the Georgia countryside this weekend for good weather, rider safety, and success for all of the men and women working every day on this vaccine! It really can be done, but it is going to take a little bit from each one of us to make it happen. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

All the best –
