Today's Program; all about Hanukkah
Our own Liz Ross did a presentation today about this Jewish holiday. She demonstrated the traditional lighting of the candles and told us the story behind the Dreidel, the symbols on it and the game. We learned that Jewish holidays are never on the same dates because they are based on a lunar calendar. We listened to music and children's book were passed around. She informed us of the 8 nights of Hanukkah as well. Thanks Liz for sharing an informative and interactive presentation with us today.
