Meeting Notes:  1/31/17 Meeting
Call to order by President Harris Segel. 22 total attendance, 20 members, 1 from N. Carolina (Bob Kemper), 1 guest speaker. Nice to see Norm Landis with us today.
Three cheers for the BUG run! 200+ participants and
$3,000+ net proceeds. Stand by for official tally.  Thanks to
all the volunteers and our chair Heather Chouinard.

Committee Reports

  Aktion Club-Meets 2nd Tuesday each month, 8:30am in lunchroom. Thanks everyone for bringing in blankets and hygiene items to support their project this month. We gave them to the speaker to take to the club. 
Builder's Club-Involved with their annual "Puppy Love" campaign. Bring in items for cats and dogs for the club project with the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Today's Program: LARC, Inc.

Angela Katz was our speaker today. LARC's has been supporting Individuals with Disabilities since 1954. Their main campus is on Hanson Street and they have multiple facilities in N. Ft. Myers, Cape, & Bonita. 300 adults are served annually. Because of their services
people are living longer and they have more fulfilling lives. LARC has programs such as; a Day Program, Supported Living, Supported Employment, Community residential homes and provide personal supports. To learn more;, call 239-980-3858, or

Hosted by Gateway to the Islands Club. 6:30pm at Faith United Methodist Church; 15690 McGregor Blvd. Bring a cap in support of our first lady's "Hats a Yard" project for the children at Golisano Children's Hospital.
