Stewart Ross filled in for President Harris Segel and led our meeting today.
Announcements

The board has accepted the resignation of Stewart Ross as President-Elect for 2016-17 year. He has been asked to be the District Chair for The Formula initiative. He will also step down as Lt. Gov. for Division 19 and Harris Segel will fill the position for the remainder of this year. The board has nominated Liz Lawrence-Ross as president-elect for this club. This requires a vote by membership and will be done at the January 3rd meeting. Congrats to all and continued thanks for your service in a leadership role. 
 
Committee Reports

Oasis Room- Reading/mentoring starts back up January 11th. Volunteers sign up at http://signup.com/go/uiV6sx   or give Stewart a call. 
BUG Run-Angela has potential youth runners from Orangewood Elementary!
Rachel suggested give someone a gift by sponsoring them to run. The board voted to sponsor up to 50 SLP members to participate in the BUG run. They must complete a registration form and turn it in before the early bird cut off date. Those that show up will also receive documentation of service hours by participating.
BUG Recognition- January 20th at Littleton Elementary 12:45pm. Volunteers needed. Sign up with Heather Chouinard if you can help. 
SLP's- School is on break until January 9th.
Thanks all that volunteered for the MS Support Group Holiday Party Service Project.

Today's Program: Kiwanis Quiz

Stewart Ross lead us though a Kiwanis Quiz. We worked jointly with other members at our lunch table. Questions were testing our knowledge on when Kiwanis was founded, the Formula, the first club in Florida District, headquarters and more. The winning team was Paul, Marilyn, Liz, and Everett.

50/50- Barb Segel's ticket was drawn today however she did not pull the ace of hearts from the remaining cards in the deck so the jackpot rolls over.

Diane Connell was our "Sheriff" today and collected happy dollars; happy holidays, Merry Christmas, Chanukah, glad to be back from the north,  Stewart playing songs today, to our quiz team, thanks Bill for organizing the MS service project.
