Today's Program: The Holocaust Museum & Education Center of SWFL.
Amy Snyder and Tim Morrison were our guests today. The mission of this not for profit is: teach the lessons of the Holocaust to inspire action against bigotry, hatred and violence. The museum teaches about the Holocast in local public schools. Florida has mandated this be taught. The primary focus is K-12. Amy gave an example of 5th graders learning the story of Irene Sendler and her mission to rescue the children. They have a traveling boxcar, currently hosted by FSW and goes to different campuses. Small scale programs are offered and local groups can visit. Memberships support education programs. To learn more call 239-263-9200 or visit www.holocaustmuseumSWFL.org
