Starting January 7 in the Chapel at 10:15 a.m.

The mission of Selfless Ambition is to build capacity and excellence in Madison neighborhoods by connecting them to caring faith communities, leveraging the resources of faith communities for genuine, transformative change, and creating the greatest possible community impact. Mr. Sanders' presentation is the kick-off of a six-week series which leads FUMC into the next step of our commitment to work for racial equity.

Weeks two through four of the Race and Religion series (see note above)will include discussion of James Cones' book, Risks of Faith: The Emergence of a Black Theology of Liberation. Copies of Cones' collection of essays are available today in the Narthex. Section 1 will be discussed on January 14, section 2 on January 21, and section 3 on January 28.
