What God Wants First
Last week, we heard the preamble to the Ten Commandments—God sets us free and commits to a relationship with us. Today, God gives us laws for how that relationship will look. What does it mean to put God first, before all else? To use God’s name right and to honor God with our time? Join us in worship as we explore the first half of the Ten Commandments!

God be good to you!
Pastor Steve Timm
Sing a Song!
Over the next few Sundays we will be learning a few new songs. For some these songs may be familiar as they have been shared during prelude and offering. Our hymn of praise on noncommunion Sundays will be 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) by Matt Redman. It is a song with a beautiful melody that describes praising the Lord throughout the entire day and our entire life. Our hymn of praise on communion Sundays will be Our God is Here by Chris Muglia. This song sets the tone for worship by declaring God's presence in our lives, our hearts, and in the meal we will share.

As we dive into the 9:30 service that blends elements of the 8:30 traditional worship and 10:30 contemporary worship, I would love to hear your ideas. Visit Rejoice's webpage or the suggestion box outside the sanctuary to share your suggestions for the songs and hymns that you would like to hear. Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Help Set the Table
Would you consider volunteering for the preparation of the communion table, the elements of bread and wine, and cleanup? We are looking to develop a monthly rotation to accomplish this task.

Communion is served on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. Please call the church office or sign up on the website or at the Interest Table.

Becky Brzinski will provide a short training session to assist you in learning how to do this important task.
Help with Home Turf
A beautiful lawn doesn’t happen by itself - volunteers are needed and appreciated to help with mowing on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m.

Hope to see you at the garage behind the church – thank you!
Social Concerns Committee in Action
The June mission partner is right in our back yard - literally! We will partner with the Property Committee and the Youth and Family Committee to repair and spiff up the two play sets behind the church. We'll take a noisy offering on Father's Day, June 17, to make the play sets safe and welcoming for kids at Rejoice. The youth will complete the project on a service day in July.

Please join the conversation at the next meeting of the Social Concerns committee on Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the library.
Stroll Down Memory Lane with Young @ Hearts
We will be visited by a volunteer from Pioneer Park in Annandale, who will tell the story of one-room schoolhouses and will give us some inside information about events happening in July – such as the “County Church and Picker’s Fest”.

Lunch is at Noon, followed by an entertaining and informative program. As always, reservations are appreciated, allowing us to appropriately approximate food quantity, and menu planning. A donation of $4.50 is suggested.

Email rejoice@rejoicelutheranchurch.org  or call 320.558.6851 and leave a message.
"Singing Saints" Sing at Rejoice
The Saint Cloud Area Singing Saints Barbershop Chorus will be singing for a few minutes at the start of the Sunday, August 5 service. The Saint's men's chorus sings at four or five churches every August as part of their community service program. Every year they perform at the Paramount Theater in St. Cloud, and their show this past May 19th celebrated their 50th year of entertaining the St. Cloud area with four-part acapella harmony.

Although their repertoire includes a wide range of styles with contemporary songs and arrangements, their church sing-outs include hymns and gospel songs. They encourage men who love to sing to attend their practices every Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud . For more information, visit www.stcloudsingingsaints.com .
