Dear Village Resident,
Did you know that discharging grass clippings into the street is a violation Chapter 7 Section 708.2 of the Village's Municipal Code? Besides being unsightly and dangerous for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists, grass clippings clog storm sewers and cause grass to grow in small cracks that eventually break up the street. If you have your lawn commercially mowed, please notify them of this ordinance. Citations can be issued. Also, we have been getting calls about people leaving waste and recycling cans where they can be viewed from the street. Please be a good neighbor and store them someplace where they can not be seen.See Chapter 13 Section 1106.1 for more information.
