Holiday Hours
The Municipal Centre will be closed Monday, January 1, in observance of the New Year's Day holiday.

Waste pickup is be delayed one day next week due to the New Year's Day holiday. In 2018, the monthly rate for waste collection will go up one dollar a month to $21.70 and $20.70 for seniors. The annual Landscape Waste subscription will go up $5 for the year to $155.00 or purchase stickers for $2.85 each. Learn more here.
Parkinson's Support Group
The Parkinson's Support Group Meeting will be held Wednesday, January 3, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the State Bank of the Lakes located at 1906 Holian Drive. View the flyer for more information. 
Christmas Tree Disposal
Christmas trees may be placed out for Groot to pick up on your garbage day through January 10. Or recycle your tree by bringing it to Glacial Park in Ringwood (off Harts Road & Route 31). The trees are processed into mulch so all decorations must be removed. You can also use the branches of your tree as winter mulch by laying them over your gardens.

Last Week for Savings
Enroll your child for the month of January at Spring Grove Montessori and they will waive the $50 enrollment fee and the $50 supply fee for a savings of $100. They offer before and after school care and care on days off from school. Different activities and crafts planned daily. Snacks and beverages provided. Open 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Recycle Batteries
For a limited time, the McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) is collecting non-rechargeable household batteries for recycling. Sizes collected are AA, AAA, C, D and 9-volt. Bring your depleted batteries to MCDH Building A, 2200 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday through January 31. View more information!
Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over through Jan 2
The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement continues through January 2. Also, make sure everyone is buckled up, no matter where they are seated in the vehicle! The holidays are a special time, and the Police Department would like to remind you to be safe and have a joyous holiday season .
Ring in the New Year
Ring in 2018 at The Shores of Turtle Creek from 8 PM - 1 AM on New Year's Eve! DJ playing Top 40 and classic hits, heavy appetizers from 8 - 10 PM, complimentary champagne toast, party favors, and a fun dance floor. Coffee and desserts served at 11 PM. Cash bar. $35 per person.
