Paws for a Cause Community Dog Walk
You and your pooch will have a lot of fun at this one-mile community dog walk at Hatchery Park on Sunday, October 1 from 12 - 3 PM
. Walk to honor those that are fighting breast cancer and remember those that have lost their battle to breast cancer. 100% of the proceeds benefit the Centegra Gavers Breast Center and Breast Care Fund. Raffles, Sponsors, Games and more.

Hatchery Park Wine & Beer Tasting
Come to an afternoon of wine, craft beer and appetizers prepared by the American Cafe on Saturday, October 7 from 2-5 PM. There will be 24 wines and 10 craft brews including 5 flagship beers from Crystal Lake Brewing. Crystal Lake Brewing will also bring something special that is only available on tap in growlers for early birds. All attendees will receive a complimentary tasting glass!

Fall Trout Season
The 2017 Illinois Fall Trout Fishing Season will open on Saturday, Oct. 21 at ponds, lakes, and streams throughout the state, including Hatchery Park. This program is funded entirely through the sale of Inland Trout Stamps. All anglers must have a valid fishing license and an Inland Trout Stamp, unless they are under the age of 16, blind or disabled, or are an Illinois resident on leave from active duty in the Armed Forces. 4th Annual Trivia Night October 21!
Richardson Farm is hosting the 4th Annual Trivia Night on Saturday, October 21 in the barn at 9407 Richardson Road. Doors open at 6 PM and questions start at 7. Bring your group of know-it-alls or join a mixed table. A variety of beverages will be available for purchase. Bring your favorite snacks. Must be 21 years old. Proceeds benefit the Community Church of Richmond. Register by October 18.

Self-defense Classes for 6 and up!
Starting October 2, Steve Meredith will be leading an 8-week self-defense class at NJ Elite Performance! This class is open to anyone over the age of 6. Parents and child pairs encouraged; let's make this a family event! The cost for each pair or single participant is $150 and $25 for each additional family member.
