Dear Village Resident,
Landscape waste collection begins next week. Grass clippings, leaves, garden debris, weeds, fruit, etc. are acceptable landscape items. Things like firewood, wood chips, plant trays or pots, landscape fabric, sand, rocks, sod or animal waste are not acceptable. Stickers must be purchased and placed on either a 33-gallon can or a biodegradable yard waste bag. Residents who generate higher volumes of yard waste may pay an annual fee with up to six cans or bags allowed per week. Contact Groot at (877) 404-7668 to sign up. Any brush or branches outside of the container or bag must be cut down to 4 feet in length and bundled no greater than 2 feet in diameter. Seasonal Maintenance Positions Available
The Village is seeking interested applicants for two part-time seasonal positions in the Public Works Department. Main responsibilities include lawn mowing, weed-whacking, trash pick-up and general landscaping for all village-owned properties. Link to more more information.

Village Easter Egg Hunt
A record number of egg hunters attended the hunt on Saturday. Along with treat bags and candy filled eggs, all six special basket winner eggs were found and many more with other special prizes! Thanks to all the Honor Society Student volunteers and to all those who brought donations of food for our local food pantry. View photos here .

The village is now offering space on the outfield baseball fences at Thelen Park to advertise your business! The 4'x8' signs are made of aluminum "smart metal" and won't tear or rust! The price for the 2018 baseball season is $350. Contact Matt Wittum at the village here.
INK 5K
Save the date for the 4th annual INK 5K on May 31 at Horse Fair Park. INK 5K supports the communities of Richmond/Spring Grove and beyond through educational, financial and emotional support of those in need. Blue Ribbon Ride
April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. Come join Cycling for Kids on the Blue Ribbon Ride - a 30-mile round trip bike ride that benefits innocent children and those that advocate for them. Stateline Comets Cheer registration time is here! This is a recreational cheer program for girls in 1 - 8 grade.
