Youth Ministry News - April 2017
It's the Fifth Sunday of Lent!

Today we heard about the resurrection of Lazarus. As I reflected on the Gospel and Father's homily, I was thinking about the Lenten practices and sacrifices that we have been observing. Hopefully we are keeping faithful to our goals, casting aside the "dead flesh" of the world and seeking the life of the Sprite of God living inside of us. Jesus Christ calls each of us out of the slavery and death of our own worldly habits into a new life and a continual conversion in Him. May we all be able to successfully complete this penitential season and bring its fruits into the rest of our year!

Below you'll find all of the things that are in store for our middle school and high school students in the month of March, and I hope that you will be able to join us for some of these offerings. May God richly bless you!

In Christ,
Bradley Barnes, Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Friday Night Live! (All Grades)

There will be an April FNL on Friday, April 7th. We will begin at the parish fish fry (enjoying fellowship and festivities), head up to Stations of the Cross, and play some large group games closing with a time of reflection. Youth will need to bring money for food if they plan on eating.

Middle School Retreat

3-10pm on Saturday, April 8th will be our "Behold!" retreat.  We'll enter the mysteries of Holy Week through testimonies, games, praise and worship, and an interactive Stations of the Cross. There will also be a chance to play the EXTREMELY popular game "Find the Light!"

Holy Week at GA

There is so much to do during Holy Week, including the beautiful liturgy of the Sacred Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil) and other great opportunities (praying the steps, final Fish Fry, Adoration, and more). Contact the Youth Ministry Office and let us know if you have questions about how to connect your family into our celebration!
High School Spring Retreat

On April 29-30th we will be having an overnight High School Spring Retreat. This retreat will focus on encountering Jesus through talks, Sacraments, music and more and will equip young people to share their faith. For more information, use the links below.
