YOUTH MINISTRY UPDATE
Scripture Challenge: Psalm 23
  1. How do you imagine God from this passage?
  2. What does it say about being alone in the world?
  3. Read it one more time. But this time, don't read it has a story. Read it as though you are you are professing this to someone about who God is. Do you see it as a passage of Worship to God?
May you always reach out to God and may you always see Him as your provider.

Wednesday Night Youth Small Group Review
We are going through the Generation Change study, which is the youth version of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace.
  • Last Week, we discussed things such as idolatry, debt, wants vs needs, what it means to truly be able to afford something and that we can be content in all circumstances because our Joy comes from Christ alone. We studied scripture such as: Mark 10:24, Proverbs 22:7, Philippians 4:11, and 1 Timothy 6:17-18.
  • This week, our theme is "Be aware" and we will discuss myths about money and the big "B" word.... Budgets. We will talk about why they are important and helpful even at their current stage of life. We will study scriptures such as: Proverbs 21:5, Proverbs 27:23, and Psalm 24:1.
I want to encourage you to talk with your youth about what they learn and thought about each Wednesday's night lesson. If they have questions that opens up for great conversation starters or shoot me an email so I know what we need to add to our discussion for the following week.

" Be a 'Smartie' and Bring your Bible"

I am strongly encouraging our students to bring their (hardcopy) Bibles to Youth on both Wednesday and Sunday's. We have begun asking our students to "sacrifice", place, their cell phones on our alter during Youth. The goal is that we spend our time at youth free of distractions and focus on what God is wanting us to hear and learn.

If they bring their Bibles to youth they get smarties. I am asking for parent's help in encouraging your youth to bring their Bibles.
Life Books
Youth have begun handing out Life Books to their friends and classmates! Yay! We still have over 700 of these awesome gifts for our youth to hand out.

I would love to see how this is impacting them and their peers. If you have pictures please feel free to email them to me or post on social media and tag our youth page!
