Collecting after 1st Juma'ah
Inside the Masjid

The International Academy students will be participating in a fundraising campaign for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) from February 8th - 26th. LLS is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and assisting families who are dealing with the many social, financial, and emotional issues that surround blood cancer and its treatment. Participating in this program has taught students the value and joy of helping others.

Each week students will participate in different activities that encourage donations. Recently, students asked if they could get the larger community involved in the wonderful act of giving. Therefore, each Friday during the fundraising campaign students will be at the Masjid after Jumah prayer collecting money for the fundraiser. EVERY PENNY COUNTS! Please look for students with white and yellow boxes. We appreciate your generosity!

In The News
Every community has a narra tive.  Either that community controls the narrative or the narrative cont rols the community.   Now more than ever the American Muslim community has to take control of the narrative. This can only be achieved if as a community we are building bridges and inroads with media.  Media outlets want to cover stories and do pieces that people are interested in. They want viewers, readers, comments, and discussions.  It is critical that as a community we are more visible and more vocal in the media.

We have been blessed for wide and positive coverage of the Center.  When there is positive coverage we must all give feedback and acknowledge and appreciate the work of the media. Please take a few minutes to review the media links and give positive feedback where you feel comfortable.
