LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY - As the nation's most comprehensive workforce service provider, ResCare Workforce Services will soon launch a contemporized work-readiness program for youth ages 14-24 in multiple locations throughout the country.

Project CEO v2.0 is a proprietary workforce training curriculum recently redesigned by ResCare's national network of youth experts. The new program is uniquely structured to help young people find, get and maintain a job and to prepare them to become the Chief Executive Officer of their life and future.

"The skills that it took for young people to succeed in the workplace have significantly changed since the first inception of Project CEO years ago," said Mike Hough, Executive Vice President of ResCare Workforce Services. "Our new Project CEO training program acknowledges those changes and incorporates the most modern tools available to teach youth and young adults how to excel in developing critical job-readiness skills."

The Project CEO v2.0 curriculum includes five workforce training sessions that includes the following content:

  • Selling Yourself - Learning the essentials of job searching by developing a comprehensive master application, customized resume and dynamic interviewing skills
  • Employers: Those Who Count - Mastering the art of securing employment in the hidden job market that exists beyond the newspaper and social media
  • Your Money - Understanding and managing personal financial matters that impact professional growth opportunities
  • You're the Boss - Learning to view hiring decisions from the employers perspective
  • You're Ready to Work - Practicing what you learned in mock interviews conducted by community employers

All of ResCare's youth career coaches throughout the nation will complete a comprehensive training workshop that will certify them to facilitate Project CEO v2.0 training for young people in both rural and urban communities.

The Project CEO v2.0 training sessions will be supplemented with ResCare's proprietary tools like ResCare ResumePro, which is used to help youth develop resumes, cover letters, and references as well as ResCare Academy, which offers more than 4,000 free online training courses to help youth expand their skillsets.

"We intentionally designed the curriculum to be dynamic and flexible so that it can accommodate a variety of schedules and protocols," said Hough. "With the help of our partners, we expect the updated version of Project CEO to improve the lives of youth all around the country."
