Congratulations, families!
Xin chúc mừng, gia đình!  Felicidades, familias!  Gratulacje, rodziny!  축하해, 가족들!  Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Familien!  ขอแสดงความยินดีครอบครัว!

We had a wonderful turnout for last week's Back to School Night.  Thank you for your participation and support.  Together, we will build for our children the best educational experience possible!  So again, congratulations!

Zion Families and Friends,

Zion's Mission is Sharing Christ, Changing Lives!  One of the ways Zion can further its ministry is to extend this to international students.  Zion has an opportunity to host students from China who will attend our School Summer Day Camp to experience American Culture.

Families will need to host 2 students, have a bed for each student, provide breakfast &  dinner and transportation to and from Zion  during the week.   Host families will receive $35.00 per night per child.

Hosting an international exchange student is an enriching experience for you and your entire family.  By opening your home and heart to a student from overseas, you and your family will gain a new global perspective, many memories, and - quite possibly - a new family member for life!

If you and your family are willing to open yourselves to a new experience and share your home please complete and return the host family registration form below on or before September 14th, to Yvonne McLellan in the school office.

If you have questions about hosting, please feel free to contact Yvonne McLellan at 715-535-3600 ext. 100 or 714-336-7859.

We will have 2 groups visiting from China.
If your family is interested in hosting please complete the registration form attached. Students will attend Zion Summer Day Camp during the day.  Please contact me if you have any questions.
We are still in need of a few
more families to help host

DID YOU KNOW?

Zion has a Marketing Committee led by our own school parent, Carol Gardner!  This group will soon be dispersed into project teams to implement an overall development/advancement plan for Zion, so we can realize our vision for making Zion the best school (Age 2-G8) it can be for our children and those who follow.  Do you have an interest in advertising, marketing, working on activities, connecting people/resources, obtaining donations (in-kind or cash), have a connection to a network, etc.?  Contact Carol at gardner82606@yahoo.com.
family_car_graphic.jpg Pick up

Thank you for your effort in the dismissal line.  Please teach your children how to use their car seats, boosters, and safety belts.  It might also be more convenient to have younger children sit behind the driver seat so they can be helped into their seats.

We ask that Kindergarten families park in the gym area to collect your children as needed.  However, starting the first of October, we ask that you join the dismissal line to collect your children.  The line moves quickly and the children are kept safe with their teacher at the east side of the school where cars stop to collect children.  This seems to be safer than backing up to go against traffic to save less than 2-3 minutes of time.  Please direct any questions or concerns to Mrs. Nagy at  knagy@zionanaheim.org or Mrs. McLellan at  ymclellan@zionanaheim.org  Thank you!

Things to keep in mind during our dismissal:
  1. DO NOT ENTER FROM THE EXIT DRIVEWAY
  2. Please pull all the way forward when in the cone area, rather than stopping wherever you see your student lining up.
  3. Thanks for your patience as we share information with families in the line this week.
