North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Stakeholder Consultations

The Government of Saskatchewan will be holding NAFTA Stakeholder Consultations on July 27, 2017, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm at the Walter Scott Building, 3085 Albert Street, Room 209, Regina. 

The provincial government needs to hear your ideas, your experiences, and your priorities in these consultations.

There are 4 new policy resolutions that have been created by the SCC Environment Committee, and 3 policy resolutions by the Youth, Education and Training Committee.

Member comment on these resolutions is an integral part in ensuring our members opinions are included.

Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Cameco sign collaboration agreement
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) and Cameco Corporation have signed a collaborative agreement that enhances and sustains their existing relationship, until the closure of the last of Cameco’s existing operations in northern Saskatchewan.

Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA)
On April 7, 2017, federal, provincial, and territorial governments announced the Canada Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), which will improve the flow of goods, services, and investment in Canada's borders; as well as impact labour mobility. 
The new agreement took effect on July 1, 2017.
