Jack W. Stoughton Jr. - PIASC's 2018 Executive of the Year

Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California (PIASC) announces the selection of Jack Stoughton, Jr., President of Stoughton Printing Company in City of Industry, California, as it’s Executive of the Year. PIASC is the largest affiliate of Printing Industries of America, the national trade association for the printing and graphic arts industry.

As a second generation printer, Jack Stoughton, Jr. has been working in the printing industry since he was 12, when his father, Jack Sr., founded Stoughton Printing Company. Over the years Jack has mastered all facets of the printing trade. Today he and his staff have honed and polished Stoughton Printing Company to be at the top of its niche, manufacturing high-end and specialty packaging for the vinyl record industry.

“Jack was selected for this honor because of his tireless work on behalf of the printing and graphic arts industry,” says Janet Green, PIASC Public Relations Chair. “Jack believes very strongly in education in and about our industry, and is especially committed to bringing ‘fresh blood’ into the trade.”

Jack first got involved in the Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California (PIASC) in 2004. Since then he has held numerous leadership roles in the printing community. He initially served as a member of the Printing Industry Benefit Trust (PIBT) before also joining the Board of Directors of PIASC, where he rose to the position of Chairman in 2015.

Jack will honored at Graphics Night on April 13, 2018 at the beautiful Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry. To make your reservations for this annual event, contact Maribel Campos at 323.728.9500, Ext. 210 or register below.

Grow Your Business by Utilizing Drip Marketing
You offer great quality print, mail and marketing services at a fair price. But is that enough to gain new business? Not if you aren’t able to successfully communicate your value to your audience. The prospects perception is your reality. It’s your job to form that perception.

So what does it take to convert a prospect into a customer? Sometimes it’s simply a matter of time and exposure. How you say it and how often you say it are as important as your value proposition itself.

This is the philosophy behind drip marketing. Send a postcard on Monday. Blast an email on Thursday. Mail a marketing letter the following week. By continually putting your message in front of people, you stay top of mind and foster credibility. When they’re ready, they’ll select you instead of the competition.

Make sure you are CPR/First Aid Certified
Have you registered for Certified First Aid & CPR Training scheduled for Wednesday, April 25th, at PIASC?

Being trained in CPR and first aid can be invaluable when someone is in serious medical distress. These techniques can help save someone who has suffered a heart attack, or any number of other emergency situations.

It can take as little as six minutes for the brain to die when it is not being supplied by oxygenated blood. Administering CPR can prevent serious brain injury. In severe bone injuries, knowing how to set or immobilize the bone can mean the difference between a full recovery and not being able to bear weight on the bone in the future. Cuts that are not properly cleaned can become infected. In the minutes immediately following an injury, how fast someone is treated can have a large impact on the future health of the injured person.

Space is limited to 12 registrants so sign up now. Contact Emily Holguin at 323.728.9500, ext. 262.

Did you see this Toyota ad?

A new interactive print ad from Toyota will put you into the drivers seat, without requiring you to leave the house for a test drive, shares Ashley Roberts of Printing Impressions, a sister brand to Target Marketing. The ad — a collaboration between  Structural Graphics  and Toyota's ad agency  Saatchi & Saatchi  — features a pop-up design, new car smell, a light-up dashboard and a pulse monitor with sound. The  interactive ad  was hand assembled and placed in 50,000 copies of InStyle magazine and sent to targeted subscribers. Special thanks to Ethan Goller, president of Structural Graphics, for providing all of the information needed for this video.
