Introducing the Customer Service Professional Certification Program
Printing Industries of America has launched a new Customer Service Professional Certification (CSP) program to train and validate the expertise of customer service representatives in a production print environment. The CSP Certification program will provide vital skills in the areas of professionalism, communication, management of internal and external customers, and job production situations to deliver an outstanding customer service experience.
"Customer service representatives (CSRs) play a vital role in print companies," said Joe Marin, vice president of Education and Training at Printing Industries of America. "Great customer service can turn first-time customers into repeat customers and repeat customers into loyal customers. Having a Certified team shows that your company holds its staff to the highest professional standards and will put the needs of its customers first."
The cost for the Customer Service Professional Certification (CSP) program is $295 for members and $495 for non-members. Purchasing the Online Course Bundle provides one year of access to the Customer Service Professional eLearning courses and one attempt to pass the certification exam. The course bundle includes:

PICU Annual Report
The Printing Industries Credit Union (PICU) shared with it's members the 2017 statement of financial condition.

Client Retention: The Case for Customer Engagement
Commercial printing has always had a sales-focused culture. When it comes to growing their businesses, printers have always invested heavily in sales training focused on prospecting and closing techniques. While these skills are important, the ability to retain existing clients has a much greater impact on your ability to grow sales.

All growth begins with client retention. As former Allegra Chairman Carl Gerhardt noted, printers need to avoid wasting time and money on complex marketing plans until they have a solid customer-retention plan in place.

Studies show that most print providers need to add 25% new customers every year just to maintain current sales levels. No wonder growth can be so difficult. It’s hard to move the boat forward when it’s leaking out the sides! If you are not proactive about customer retention, most acquisition efforts will help you tread water, but not actually grow your sales.

iLearning Center - It's Mobile too!
Did you know that there’s a mobile app for the iLearning Center? Just go to the Apple or Google Play app store, search and download the “Litmos” app, and use your printing.org login credentials to view iLearning Center courses on your smartphone or tablet. And, in the newest release of the Litmos app, there is a feature that grants learners the ability to view videos offline! Members can use this feature to preserve data on the go, view in airplane mode, or watch in remote areas. To watch videos offline, learners will download the video while connected online, view the video, and later sync their progress back to the application once connected online again.
