Featured Event: Celebrate Queen's Day This Saturday,  April 28   

On Queen's Day, the Dutch gather dressed in orange to celebrate the birthday of their Queen.  This year, the Dutch community in San Francisco invites you to celebrate Queen's Day on April 28, beginning at 11 a.m., near the Dutch Windmill in Golden Gate Park, featuring all things Dutch-- pastries, cheese, live music and special games for the kids.

Craig Louis Presents: "LOL for RPD," a night of comedy benefiting the SF Recreation and Park Department's programs for children on the autism spectrum. Please join us on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m.-noon, to help fill in some of the holes dug by our dogs. Volunteers will be working to help beautify the park and improve safety, while also setting a good example for fellow park users. Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress in layers. We will provide all tools, gloves, training and some snacks and water.  The group will meet at 10 a.m. at the dog park at John F. Shelley Drive and Mansell Street in McLaren Park. Penny Carnival Fun at Potrero Hill on May 4  pennycarnival

On Friday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., join us at Potrero Hill Recreation Center (801 Arkansas) for a special Penny Carnival for families with children under 6 years old.  The event will include carnival-style games, parachute games, an obstacle course, music and movement demonstrations, art and crafts, face painting, and an imagination playground, each for just a cent!  (Proceeds will go toward Rec and Park's Scholarship Program.)    

SF Botanical Garden's 45th Annual Plant Sale on May 5 sfbg

Join us at the San Francisco Botanical Garden's 45th Annual Plant Sale, Sunday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park.  Come select from thousands of native, rare and unusual plants, many exclusive to the SF Botanical Garden nursery and grown by talented Garden volunteers and all suitable for Bay Area gardens.  Visit www.sfbg.org for more information.
