This was the scene in the patch cave this week as I was about to start the sort for the OA activity patch blind trade. Actually 2 more packages came in right before I started the sort so technically you could add another 100 or so patches to the mix. All the order have been packaged and I'm dropping off them off this morning at the UPS store. My next blind trade has just launched (today!) and is focused on Boy Scout Camp Patches. If you were able to clean out your camps inventory one year and have a big stack of extras you might want to get in on this blind trade and shake up your dupes.

This week I did an epic sort of all my dupes from my home lodge in anticipation of getting our new patch guide published at the end of the month. Yesterday I got about
70 listings made for the flaps and other issues from the lodge and threw them up on eBay.
I got the most interesting message from a lady yesterday regarding patches. She was calling to ask if I'd be interested in buying a patch and in the message she said "oh I can't read this name". I'm assuming that was her giving up on trying to read one of the tongue twisting Indian names we use in the OA or for a district. I should save that message and post it online.
There has been a lot of talk on Facebook about the LDS dropping the Venturing and Varsity program. I don't know where it's all headed but I do know with the National Meeting scheduled for later this month there could be more big news coming from the great white teepee.
Today I'm going to make a run to the antique mall to put some more items up on the shelf. A few weeks ago I flipped the inventory over and put all summer clothing in including t-shirts, shorts and only short-sleeve uniform shirts. If you are ever in the Charlotte area I hope you will make a visit to the
Sleepy Poet Antique Mall.
