I got pretty excited when I spotted this lot on eBay.  This Scouter spent some time at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC (where I was born!) as evidenced by his troop neckerchief and numerous Camp Coker and Pee Dee Area Council patches.  Looks like he went to the 1960 Jamboree as well which makes sense because the camp patch and neckerchief are right for that time period.  Just fun seeing someone's Scouting history that I can make a personal connection to.
Vintage Boy Scout Memorabilia Up First
After blitzing the Old Hickory TOR and getting checks and commitments I'm excited to say that we've sold out of 8' wall tables for the Charlotte TOR.  I guess pricing them at $2 above an inside table was too tempting but hey as a new TOR we wanted to keep the price cheap!  We still have about fifty 8' inside tables to rent so get the TOR flier and send it in!
Order of the Arrow Auctions Live on eBay
Anybody out there looking to buy a bunch of $5 OA flaps?  Later this week I'm going to put 259 flaps up on my Facebook store but if there is somebody looking to buy a glob of them as a package deal for $5 each with free shipping send me an email and I'll share the scans.  I've done this once or twice so I know some buys are down for a bid deal like that.
Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
Yesterday I launched a brand new sales album on my Facebook Store.  It has about 189 patches from Jambo mostly from 1973-2013 including some staff pieces and all that miscellaneous stuff that has been issued.  I put them all in this album at $5 each with free shipping.  Some of my competitors in the hobby will get their blood boiling with that low-ball deal but I don't want to take the time to list these out on eBay one at a time.

The auctions roll on as I'm putting another dozen up each night as I work my way through several hundred neckerchiefs I got in a collection.  Today I am going to zero in on some more recent issues that need to get up on the site as well.
Sunday I met with Stuart Tucker who is a District Chairman here in Mecklenberg County Council.  He is going to teach Scouting Heritage MB in conjunction with the Charlotte TOR and in preparation I gave him a big trunk of patches that he is going to use to help fulfill the requirements with the boys.  We are still hoping to recruit someone to teach Collections MB as well so we can expose as many youth as possible to the hobby.

Yours in Scouting,

Make plans now to attend the return of a tradition that's been missing for too long - the Charlotte TOR.  I'm helping organize the show as a fundraiser for Pack 33 at Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.  We couldn't have a more supportive host.  The church just celebrated 75 years of Scouting including sponsoring two troops and a pack.  The show is being held in the 8,000+ square foot fellowship hall.  We have ample parking and many amenities in this part of Charlotte.
