Later this afternoon I'll be sorting the hundreds of OA patches that came in for the blind trade that I organized.  I decided I better check my PO Box one more time Monday before I sort just to be sure nothing came in after the deadline.  I'll try and take some pictures to give everyone an idea of the craziness.
Vintage Boy Scout Memorabilia Up First
Have you ever had three Scouting weekends in a row and on the other side of that just peace and quiet?  Being an active leader cuts into my TOR travels.  I would love to hit Alabama next weekend and Chicago at the end of the month but I think my family needs some calm.
Order of the Arrow Auctions Live on eBay
Next week should be fun. I'm going to reel in two collections that I've been looking at for over a month.  One of them the family is making a trip to Charlotte to bring to me.  The other I'll be driving to get a nice collection in North Carolina.  When your doing this eBay thing as a full time business you gotta keep chasing the next deal.
Scouting Auctions Ending Soon on eBay
I'm breaking up a "collection" that I've been holding onto for more than 25 years.  Back in the late 1980s I started holding back five each of my lodges fellowship patches to just sit on (maybe hoarding?).  So from 1989-2017 I have 5 each in an old briefcase not quite ageing like fine wine.  But going into this summer I'm ready to crack it open and just keep 1 dupe collection (why I don't know) and I'll be making all the others available for sale.

Every day I'm adding items to the eBay store including over 3-dozen auctions that got launched last night. My next group is the Kentucky collection that I offered as one big group without a taker.  Probably tomorrow I'll start turning that into several auctions to see what I can sell it for going that route.
This past weekend we went on a 9 PM walking ghost tour of Savannah.  I am not a believer in all this mumbo jumbo but the tour guide was exceedingly cute and talented.  However she kept encouraging us to take photos of certain areas where there was a lot of energy and she claimed sometimes things would turn up in the pictures.  One of the dads in our group took this picture from the gates of the old Colonial Cemetery in downtown Savannah.  That night he shared the picture with me so I assume its as authentic as you can get.  As you can see there is some funky stuff going on here.  One of the stories is that over the years as many as 9,000 people were buried here even though there are less than 700 stones.  Be your own judge just sharing because I've never been apart of something like that.

Yours in Scouting,

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff.  I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move.  A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store.  The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte.  The mall is open 7-days/week year round.  So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
