Welcome to the last issue of the Hot Finds this month. I searched eBay for several hours and spotted dozens of auctions getting bids that deserved a spotlight. I hope you enjoy this look at them.
Top Selling Auctions in the USA Category
If you want a historical treat click on the POW grouping below that includes some pins made from melted cans during the Airman's internment. eBay doesn't allow you to list firearms but the signal core launcher caught my eye right away.
Just a great variety today in the German block with everything from a typewriter to some nice uniform pieces. Sadly in this category you see way too many disclaimers including the seller of that Iron Cross who practically begs eBay not to take it down.
I promise when I started off picking the live auctions for today's issue of the Hot Finds the theme of knives, bayonets and swords was not on my mind. This all comes together very organically based on what is getting bids and today as you can see in this part of the newsletter the edged weapons were winning the day.
It's not every issue that I can feature an auction in this WW1 block that is over $1k. Today the 247th Battalion Victoria & Haliburton Battalion cap badge is hitting that mark with 16 bids. It comes from the collection of a major Canadian collector that is being broken up and sold on eBay.
I hope you enjoyed today's newsletter. You can look forward to receiving them in the morning every Monday and Thursday on my new publishing schedule.
Happy Hunting,
Jason Spangler, Santeeswapper
ARE YOU A POWERSELLER IN THE MILITARY CATEGORY?
I have been publishing the WWII Hot Finds Newsletter since February 2010 and would like to expand the reach by partnering with some Powersellers in the category. If you are interested in getting an ad in the email newsletter that would point to your eBay store/listings then
shoot me an email. We can talk about how we can partner to bring you more eyes and hopefully increase your sales.
