Roto Frank of America Working to Improve Window Safety

Now that spring has arrived, we joining the Window Safety Task Force (WSTF) of the National Safety Council to remind homeowners of the importance of practicing window safety. Although National Window Safety Week is observed April 3-9 this year, open windows can be dangerous any time of year for young children.  Falls from a window can result in serious injury or death, and pose an especially dangerous threat for children. Every year, about eight children under age five die from falling out of a window, and more than 3,300 are injured seriously enough to go to the hospital.

"We recognize the danger that improperly secured windows can pose to children and we join the Window Safety Task Force in strongly encouraging the use of ASTM F2090 compliant devices such as our Angel Ventlock® window opening control devices," said Chris Griffin, Sales Engineer at Roto Frank of America and a member of the Window Safety Task Force. " The Angel Ventlock devices are both low cost  and incredibly effective. In addition, they  don't detract from the appearance or  function of the window, and  they can be easily retrofitted or integrated by the
window manufacturer ."
