A Message from Mrs. Anderson
Dear Families,

The gospel on Sunday was all about Love. The questions for this week then are: “who needs Jesus’ love; how can we show His love to others; and how is love of others connected to God?” One of our Core Values is Love and if you are on campus you will see the children and staff throughout the day, living out the points under the title: treating others as we wish to be treated; promoting social justice to improve the lives of others; sharing time and talent with others; and, loving learning! May we pray for those in our daily interactions that they feel the love of God which we model by what we say and do.

Congratulations to Liz Huizar and her team, especially Allison and Dave Riker, who put on such a fabulous Auction event! Cinco de Mayo was the theme and it was carried out through the music played as guests entered, to gorgeous decorations that transformed Stack Center, and then by the scrumptious food cooked and served by our own parishioner and caterer, Mike Miraglia. Thanks also to the Nasrah family who made available our prize auction item, the Kevin Durant authentic, signed, framed jersey. All in all the night was a huge success. It was a sellout event so hope to do this again next year. As Paris Greenwood, our fabulous auctioneer would say, "It's all for the kids!"

Get Your Mother's Day Gifts Right Here!
Every morning before school this week, Mrs. Sanchez will be outside to sell our OLG mugs, tote bags, and hats. We have a limited supply so you must shop early. Mugs are $5.00, Hats and Totes are $10.00.

Regarding Late Work:  Parents of students in  Grades 6-8  - from today through the end of the year, no credit will be given for late work. Forming good habits for the future is key to every child's success and it is too late in the year for upper grade students to have excuses as to why work is not being turned in on time. Thank you for your support.

VBS RETURNS TO OLG THIS SUMMER
July 23-27 ~ 9:00 AM-12 NOON

We are excited to introduce you to Jackie Cruz our new VBS Director!
“Hello, my name is Jackie and I'm a mama to three and my children enjoy participating in VBS. I think kids are attracted to the "learn by doing" approach that VBS embraces.  We learn about Jesus and the impact of his Word by the experiences we share with one another during the week.   I have been volunteering in various leadership roles with Vacation Bible School for the past 6 summers and it is always a highlight of my summer. I invite you to share in the joy that serving in VBS as a leader can bring! It takes many hearts and hands to make VBS in a parish a successful event.”
Registration forms for Campers, and Adult and Teen Volunteers are available on-line and in the Parish office.

Parking Lot, Pick Up, Morning Drop Off and Assembly
Driving through the parking lot at drop off and pick up: Please limit your speed to 5 mph in the parking lot when children are around. This is a very important safety issue. The Somerset and San Miguel gates are entrances for morning drop off. You may exit Somerset and Anita after morning drop off. The San Miguel Gate is NOT an exit ever. The Anita gates are NOT an entrance ever. At pick up the only entrance is through the San Miguel Gate. Somerset and Anita is for exit only for pick up.
At dismissal, if you have a child in grades 4-8, drive in along the parking lot by the church unless they have a sibling in primary grades.     Please do not park in the shady area by the trees as that is the drive through area for cars picking up on the side for the younger children.   Older siblings always are to wait with the younger wear morning line up takes place. All students in grades TK-3 will be escorted to cars by their teacher or aide at dismissal. Wednesday dismissal is always 2:30 as we have faculty meetings that day.
Please be sure your child is on time  at the first bell as at the second bell each student has to be in his/her class line to avoid a Tardy slip.
Parents, please stand at the back of the class lines during morning assembly so the class lines are paying full attention to the Student Council prayer time and pledge. Please do not walk your child to the gate to enter school.
Important Notice from the Office
