John Harler to Be Honored
In case you plan far ahead, mark your calendars now for CrossOver Clinic banquet on October 4 at the Jefferson Hotel. John Harler will be honored with a Compassionate Care Award for his volunteer work, and the ministries of CrossOver will be celebrated.
We'll have more information coming this fall.

During the summer we adapt our pace and schedule in several ways. Here are a couple:

Children's Sunday Classes:   On Sundays our  NURSERY CARE  (infants to 5) continues the same through the morning.
Likewise,  KIDS' OWN WORSHIP  (K-5th grade) continues the same during late service.
But  ELEMENTARY SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS   (9:30 a.m.)  WILL PAUSE FOR THE SUMMER .   Children in grades K-5 are invited to remain with their parents during the 1st service. Please ask an usher for activity packs, available in the Narthex.

Office Hours:   The church office is  CLOSED ON FRIDAYS.

We Regret to inform you that Exercising Your Faith is CANCELLED through the rest of the summer. Special thanks to Tricia Holland for volunteering her time and leadership gift as Instructor for the class over the past months.

Please be in prayer for Trisha, who injured her achilles tendon and regrets she is unable to continue. In her own words, "Fiddlesticks!"

Property Team Volunteers Needed

Our church needs guys who could help with minor repair projects around St. Giles. Some repairs can be done by an individual at their convenience. Some repairs require two or more guys and, consequently, some time coordination. Volunteers do not have to join the property committee or attend meetings (but would be welcome to).
If you are interested in helping, please contact Walt Hitchcock, email wrhitchcock@gmail.com or text or call 804-263-6505.

SAVING OUR YOUTH VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY

Saving Our Youth has a great opportunity to work with some of the youth from the Mayor's Youth Academy this summer. One of the projects is building flower boxes to go in front of community members' homes.
I'm inviting St. Gileans the opportunity to work with these teens for a couple of days building these flower boxes. You will be instructed on how to build the boxes, so that you, in turn, may teach them. The project will be held the 2 nd or 3 rd week in July during the daytime hours of 10 AM to 2 PM. You may choose the specific days according to your schedule. If you're interested, call Jo White at (804) 937-6836.
