Christopher J. Chimeri, Founding Partner of Quatela Chimeri, PLLC, and Bob Eslick, Executive Director of Kids Helping Kids by Kids Way, Inc. were honored for their dedication and commitment to helping children and families in need. Mr. Chimeri received the Marie & Michael Gubitosi Altruist Award, and Mr. Eslick received the Steven J. Eisman Humanitarian Award, both of which memorialize long-time friends and supporters of EAC Network who also recognized the vital work being done to help those who are too often forgotten.
What's Happening
EAC Network  is proud to be the recipient of a $40,000 grant through   Newsday Charities , a McCormick Foundation fund, in support of our   Long Island Parenting Institute (LIPI), which enhances outcomes for children by strengthening families and empowering mothers and fathers to become confident and effective parents . Once again our Safe Start program, which improves the safety of all occupants riding in motor vehicles, joined the Suffolk County Police Department for a car seat safety event in which trained, certified technicians taught parents and guardians how to properly install a car seat. Watch the video .
More than  18 million American adults , or 7.5 percent of the adult population, are unable to walk a quarter mile or find it very difficult to do so, and many with mobility issues are seniors. St. Francis Hospital's IMCU Collects Books for Kids
The Intermediate Care Unit - 3 East - at St. Francis Hospital recently collected children's and board books for our Suffolk County Children’s Center at Cohalan Court ! Books geared toward younger children are always in high demand at the Center. Special thanks to the nurses for helping us promote literacy to children as their parents attend to court business! The Brooke Jackman Foundation generously donates hundreds of Brooke Packs - new backpacks filled with new school supplies and books - to EAC Network each year to provide our children with the tools they need to succeed in the upcoming school year.
