Call for toiletries and casual menswear!
Do you have unused toiletries and/or gently worn casual menswear?
EAC Network's Transitional Case Management , Forensic Intensive Case Management , and other transition-based programs are in need of unused toiletries and new or gently worn casual menswear (pants, shorts, shirts, etc.) to help support program participants who are transitioning from the criminal justice system back into society with little to no possessions.

Personal and corporate donations are accepted and are 100% tax deductible. If your office/company conducts a toiletry drive, you can also be featured in the next eNews and on social media!

As Compliance Manager, Janine will develop, initiate, and maintain our Corporate Compliance Program and Compliance Committee as well as serve as the Privacy Officer across our programs in Nassau, Suffolk, and the five boroughs of New York City. Prior, Janine worked as Associate Director with New York City Health & Hospitals. She has a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. from Brandeis University. Welcome, Janine!
60 Plant Ave. Hosts Cooking Demonstration
Another great employee wellness event occurred for our staff, courtesy of Cigna! Our 60 Plant Avenue office in Hauppauge, which operates programs like Chance to Advance and Community Service , held a cooking demonstration with Starlight Tyler, a nutritionist from Starlight Cooking. She taught employees about eating balanced and nourishing meals, and then led them through some recipes. They made a chipotle salad with chicken and made a tasty drink of mint water with strawberries. Yum!
Did you know that c hildren who are abused or neglected are at greater risk for low self-esteem and/or self-control, increased aggression and violence, mental health and/or social issues, and they are more likely to abuse or neglect their own children? EAC Network's Long Island Parenting Institute prevents child abuse and limits negative outcomes by utilizing parenting best practices and by promoting protective factors that include increasing parent resilience, educating parents on child development and the social/emotional competence of children, creating social connections, and providing concrete support in times of need.
