Parenting Classes Kick Start Health & Wellness Workshops
|
The Nature’s Bounty of Wellness program initiative at EAC Network is in full swing! With the help of a wellness team led by Registered Dietician and EAC Network's Health Educator Laura Zelenka-Dufresne, the initial phase at our
Long Island Parenting Institute
has been focusing on nutrition and wellness education. The first set of classes, entitled “Healthy Children, Happy Parents,” stressed the importance of developing good nutrition habits early on.

Seniors Stay Active, Safely
|
Seniors at our North Merrick and Hempstead Senior Centers are having fun and staying active this summer with classes like this one - exercising safely! Instructor Lisa Wisel showed everyone how to move and stay active strategically. If you know an older adult who might benefit from socialization and classes such as these, check out our
Senior Community Services Centers
with locations in Long Beach,
Hempstead, Port Washington,
and North Merrick.

In honor of National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, Kathryn Cannino (right), Program Director of our
Long Island Parenting Institute
, participated in Global Big Latch On at the Peconic Bay Medical Center where parents and professionals gathered to support breastfeeding and early childhood development.

We're excited to announce our second year participating in the Generosity Long Island 5k! The event takes place in
Eisenhower Park, a 930-acre oasis of open space and recreation in the heart of Nassau County. The Park is one of the largest public spaces in the New York metropolitan area – even larger than Central Park! People of all abilities are welcome to join - you can run, walk, or even wheel!
