WrappersNeeded

Wrappers Needed
Beth Torah has been given the opportunity for a major fundraiser with a Mitzvah twist! At Willow Bend mall, we will be wrapping Christmas gifts for donations-only. The Willow Bend management team will be doing all of the advertising and promoting within the mall and providing us with the space-all for free! All of the supplies have been donated too! The only thing we need is you-the best volunteers in the DFW Metroplex!

Hours of operation will be 11AM to 8PM with three, 3½ hour shifts during Black Friday weekend (November 27-29) and then December 14 through December 24. Mall staff will provide coverage during Shabbat.

NO wrapping experience necessary! We are looking for Day Captains, wrappers, schmoozers, hustlers (not really), and runners. This is a great opportunity for our Shul to support the community at large and, in return, the community will get to know us! Check out days and times and sign up online at http://cbt.news/2015-AllWrappedUp.

We look forward to joining you all for a successful and lots of "fun"draiser! If you have any questions, please email ([email protected]) or call us: Rona Kesselman 214.532.7742 / Vikki Silvis 214.724.7679.

YarnProject
Sisterhood Yarn Project
Extra yarn at home? Always wanted to learn to knit? Already a knitting expert? Want to help the homeless stay warm this winter?
  • If you knit/crochet or want to learn, reach out to Anna Segal to join the knitters circle. The group will meet occasionally at homes or at CBT at 7:00 PM on the second Wednesday of each month with the first meeting taking place Wednesday, 11 November. You can reach Anna at 972.233.6421 or [email protected].
  • The group is undertaking a project to make hats and scarves to be "yarn bombed" (anonymously placed in areas in Richardson known to have homeless) before the really cold weather hits DFW.
  • We are collecting unwanted yarn in a collection box at CBT for people to use to make the hats and scarves.
