Shalom and hello everyone! I hope you are doing well.

WHAT DID HE SAY?

Thanks to all who participated in our special 17th of Tamuz lecture last night between mincha and maariv, on the topic,  "THE RESOLVE TO REBUILD!"

We were honored to have among the distinguished audience members my good friend  Jeremy Perlow , OS's Summer Rabbi, and two surprise visiting "Israelis" (and past members of OS)  Rabbi Maury Kelman and  Akiva Moshe Prell

It was gratifying and inspiring to see all three pack the pews during this timely address.

The main point of the lecture was that in order to "permit" Hashem to rest his Presence in the future third Temple, it is up to each individual Jew to create a world of  Kiddush Hashem , both promoting His honor amongst the Jewish People and being accepting of other Jews passion to serve G-d in a standard above our own.

This attitudinal change demonstrates our "kiddush-Hashem-desire" that His presence be recognized and enthusiastically worshipped - and cultivates the necessary foundation for the third bais hamikdash, an institution exclusively dedicated to promoting G-d awareness amongst all peoples.

KIDDUSH SPONSOR

This week's gala kiddush is being generously sponsored by  Elliot and Deborah Gibber in commemoration of Deborah's mother's yahrtzeit,  Kate Etlinger Goldner , Mindel bas Meshulam, a"h.

Deborah's mother is a descendant of the famous and distinguished author of  Aruch L'ner , on various mesechtos of the Talmud, Rabbi Jacob Ettlinger (1798 - 1871), a German Rabbi and author and one of the leaders of Orthodox Judaism. May her neshama have an aliyah in Gan Eden! Amen.

DO IS KOSHER!

I am happy to announce (and you are the first to know!) that the world famous  DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections , located at 550 LaGuardia Pl, New York (a block from NYU), is now kosher and under my supervision.

This is the hottest food shop in New York City and I am thrilled to bring this special treat to the discerning kosher consumer. When you visit DO, please say hello to Kristen Tomlan, the owner and CEO, and thank her for enthusiastically making this delectable treat accessible to all!

Be forewarned, there's always a line/wait to get in the store.

As Rav Hamachshir of National Kosher Supervision, people always ask me which new clients I am working with, the best places to eat, the latest kosher food trends and how I go about making a store kosher.

I am proud to announce the eBite, which will provide answers to all of these questions and so much more! SIGN UP HERE for a weekly bite of kosher food news and behind the scenes access into National Kosher Supervision. Look out for the first eBite Tuesday, July 18th. Enjoy and bon appétit!

Have a wonderful shabbos!
