AnnualCreditReport.com provides you with a secure way to request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. Stay current on what your credit report shows by checking your credit annually from each of the three credit reporting bureaus, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
Compare your report to your credit card and loan statements. These reports will help you detect inaccuracies on your report. Because there are three separate agencies, you can spread the free reports over a four-month period, allowing you to check your credit throughout the year.
