If you are a recent college graduate looking for your first full-time job, here are some tips for all of us to remember as you prepare to enter the job market:

1.  Make sure there are no typos in your resume or any cover letters you send out to employers. Have someone with a keen eye look over your resume before sending it out.

2.  If you land an interview, be prepared!  Make sure you're familiar with the job description. Find out everything you can about the organization (website, Google search). Anticipate questions and your answers to them. Jot down questions you want to ask about the organization or the position.

3.  Day of the interview: First impressions are extremely important. You'll be on display the minute you walk through the door. Arrive early and be courteous to everyone you meet.

4. Send a handwritten thank you note to your interviewers within a day or two of your appointment. If that's difficult, at least follow up with a personalized email note.
