iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium Report
It was great to see so many QM supporters at the iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium. We hope you had a chance to stop by our booth and say hello! We were fortunate to participate in some exciting conversations about quality assurance in online and blended course design. We hope you did, too. The connections you made can be instrumental in helping you build consensus when instituting and sustaining your quality assurance efforts.
QM was proud to sponsor the 2014 Keeping Pace Report, published by the Evergreen Education Group and released at the Symposium, which tracks online and blended learning policy and practice across all 50 states.
Did you sit in on one of the sessions in which QM was involved? The research panel presentation, Preparing Teacher for Success in K-12 Online and Blended Contexts: Research from the Field, included K-12 Program Director Christine Voelker and gave an overview of the literature review conducted to inform the QM K-12 Secondary Rubric, Second Edition. In Climbing the Vendor Vine: Finding the Right Online Course Content, Chris outlined the footholds school systems can use to evaluate how closely third-part content aligns with your content standards and student need.
Thank you for your continued support of continuous improvement and quality assurance in K-12 education. We'll see you next year!

Time for a Quick Survey?
In an effort to provide you with tools and services that you value, QM is asking you to take a quick nine-question survey about how you would like to be recognized for your professional development accomplishments. The survey is anonymous and should take 10 minutes or less to complete. Results will be kept confidential and used to make decisions about providing the community with valuable services and tools. The survey closes Monday, December 1, 2014.
Thank you for your help!

Improve The Quality of Your School's Professional Development with the CPE Rubric
Are you providing your educators with the best-designed, highest-quality professional development possible? QM's research-supported Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) Rubric can assist in the design and evaluation of instructor-led, mentored, or self-managed online and blended courses that have pass/fail, skills-based or other completion or certification criteria, but do not carry academic credit. The CPE Rubric may be used to design, improve, or evaluate professional training and personal development courses like those your school or institution offers.
Contact QM's K-12 Program Coordinator to learn more about the CPE Rubric.
