OU School of Business and Florida Hospital Sponsor Book Review
by Genae Darville, freshman finance major

(Left to right) Gerren Sprauve, entrepreneur and motivational speaker, examines "The Power of Habit" with business students during recent book review session.

After an impactful departmental chapel on March 23, led by Gerren Sprauve, business students and staff gathered in the dining room of the McKee Business & Technology Complex to review the book sponsored by Florida Hospital, The Power of Habit written by Charles Duhigg. The author explores and challenges the daily habits of its readers by informing them of different scenarios where said habits are cultivated and how they can be rectified.

Mr. Sprauve made this book review comfortable and conversational by thoroughly examining his perspective of the book, while answering any questions that arose, and encouraging feedback from those who attended.

After the book review, freshman finance major Darius Woods stated that "The book review was thought-provoking, and Mr. Sprauve was very insightful. As a business student, I am thankful to Dr. Hyacinth Burton, Dean of School of Business, Florida Hospital and Mr. Gerren Sprauve for enabling us to experience this." It was indeed an extraordinary experience.
