The New York Times reports that floodwaters in southeast Texas continue to rise as a result of the slow-moving, record-shattering hurricane.
With hundreds of thousands of people under evacuation orders, shelters in Houston are filled to bursting with people who crave news about the safety of their loved ones and the state of their homes.
Oakwood University is not immune to this tragedy. Several of our students, faculty and staff have family in the areas that have been hit the hardest.
